What exactly does this service do?
Erase My Life is a "Dead Man's Switch." You provide your log-in and passwords for websites such as Tik Tok. Simply put, when you pass away (or fail to verify your status), this service will secure your legacy by closing down your listed accounts and sending your pre-written "Last Writes" emails to your loved ones.
Do I have to use my real name and email?
No. We respect your need for privacy. You may sign up anonymously using a pseudonym, and you are welcome to use a dedicated, private email address (such as ProtonMail) specifically for interacting with our website. However, you must remember to check that email account regularly, as that is where we send your critical timer alerts.
How do I stop the timer from running out?
We will email you 3 days before your timer expires. That email contains a "Verify Life" link. Simply click that link, and your timer resets to day zero. You don't even need to log in.
What if I am in a hospital or coma?
We have a "Fail-Safe Protocol" for this exact scenario. You can designate an Emergency Contact. If you miss your check-in, we email them before executing your instructions. They are given a secure link to "Snooze" your system for 30 days.
Do you read my passwords or emails?
No. All credentials stored in the Vault are encrypted using AES-256 (Military Grade) encryption. Your "Last Writes" emails are stored securely in our database and are only decrypted and sent upon your expiration.
How do you delete my social media accounts?
Many websites, such as Facebook, have a 30-day grace period once an account is marked for deletion. Our solution, per the user's instructions, is to first change the password, effectively blocking out any attempts of a hostile takeover of the account.
What are "Last Writes"?
"Last Writes" are emails you write today that are only sent after you are gone. You can attach documents, photos, or secrets. You assign a specific recipient for each email. It is the ultimate way to ensure your final words are delivered exactly as you intended, without relying on a lawyer or family member to find a physical letter.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can delete your account at any time from your Dashboard. Deleting your account immediately wipes all your saved passwords, emails, and files from our servers. There is no "undo" for this action.
